13.02.2008 - Stevedore at Paldiski South Harbour acquired warehousekeeper operating at the harbour.


ESTEVE Terminal AS, a stevedore company operating at Paldiski South Harbour, announced on Tuesday that on Monday it had acquired from investment firm United Partners Investments and three co-owners the warehousekeeper Norilde OÜ, which operates at Paldiski South Harbour.

Üllar Raad, member of the management board of the stevedore company, stated in the announcement to BNS that Norilde OÜ has in its long-term use a warehouse site of 3.2 ha in the immediate vicinity of the berths, which is used for the storage of passenger cars.

As a result of the transaction, the total area of warehouse sites in the use of ESTEVE Terminal at Paldiski South Harbour will increase to 24 ha and the capacity to promptly service large quantities of passenger cars carried by ships to the harbour will significantly improve.

The company, founded in 1997, is one of the largest universal stevedore companies in Estonia, having loaded and unloaded more than two million tonnes of goods in 2007, including over 72 200 passenger cars.

The sales revenue of the company, belonging to the Baltic Maritime Logistics Group since 2002, was over MEEK 132.2 in 2007.
