ESTEVE Terminal AS, operator of Paldiski South Harbour, presented the mobile harbour crane Gottwald HMK 260E, obtained on 6 November, which is the only one of its kind in Estonia and the entire Baltic region.

Based on the investment made, it is now possible to perform unloading and loading works of container goods and bulk at Paldiski South Harbour more operatively and flexibly than previously and, due to the peculiarities of the crane, perform lifting works for:

• loads of 100 t from a distance of 19 m;

• containers weighing 36 t up to 31 m and for 29 t up to 35 m distance;

• loading speed of approximately 25 containers / hour.

In the interests of potential future development, a grab with a capacity of 11 m3 will be mounted on the crane for handling bulk, which should be ready to serve clients sometime in April 2009.
